First, we need to understand that in order to generate passive income there must be effort put in at the front end.

Maintaining the income will eventually take less and less.

This hustle does NOT require any skill.

I had no prior skill or knowledge on artificial intelligence.

Disclaimer: Results will vary and not guaranteed.

This is a case study and guide to utilize artificial intelligence for income.

I first saw several ads on social media on how to generate over $1500 per month streaming music on Spotify.

I decided why not, let’s give it a try. If it fails, that’s experience for me.

I wanted to see if these affiliate influencers were truthful. Hint: They over promise and under deliver.

Here I’m going to show you real results from someone with no prior skill or knowledge on artificial intelligence. In fact it is quite simple to use artificial intelligence and the results surprise and impress you.

You will be utilizing several artificial intelligence to do most of the leg work for you.

Important AI Sites:

  1. Larnii – AI music software @ $7 per month
  2. Leonardo.ai – to create album cover images
  3. ChatGPT – to create ideas for song and album names
  4. Distrokid – Upload your media, check streaming stats and get paid. Use my link to receive 7% off a plan

Upfront Costs: as low as $29.99 (Larnii $7 per month, 1 artist plan $22.99 annually)

My Upfront Cost: $193.72 (Larnii $7 per month , Distrokid $186.72 per year for 20 artists)

Initial Invested Time: <24 hours

Maintenance: <2 hours

Ready? Let’s get started with the 4-Step Guide! Time to Read: 14 minutes

Step 1: Creating Music with Larnii AI

Visit larnii.com and click ‘SIGN UP FOR FREE’ at the top right purple rectangle.

You will be taken to the my.larnii.com url to sign up with Google, sign up with email or Log in if you already have an account.

I went with Sign up with email as I did not want my Google account information to be shared with Larnii. I recommend creating a new email account.

There are free email accounts available on Gmail, Yahoo, Ymail and Mail.com.

Enter your email and password. Click ‘Sign up’

Now once you’re signed in, you will come to a landing page where you can listen and create music. Creating music requires a Premium member plan, which is $7 per month.

Note that Prices may vary slightly depending on location. I am based in the U.S. You may even consider using VPN if your pricing is higher than $7 USD per month.

The benefits of being a Premium member are creating royalty-free songs, ability to download royalty-free songs and monetize the songs. The Premium member plan gives you the license to use Larnii’s music commercially for videos or other profitable projects. In this case, Spotify. You also get full license to stream Larnii in a public environment i.e Cafe or restaurant.

To start, click on ‘START FREE TRIAL’

Right now, Larnii is offering a free 7 day trial to their Premium member plan. Fill out the necessary information or use Apple Pay.

Click on ‘Start trial’ when finished.

Now let’s create royalty-free songs!

Time to get creative. What genre interests you? Is it study music, lofi, upbeat, electronic?

Set the length of the song to 60 seconds, 1 minute. Why 1 minute you ask? Spotify pays per stream. Whether the song is 1 minute or 5 minutes, any user listening to the song from start to finish equals 1 stream.

If the user is from the U.S., you will get about $4 per 1,000 streams. 100,000 streams would be $400.

Click Preview and listen to the song. When you’re happy with the created song, click Download.

Congrats you’ve just created your first royalty-free song! I recommend creating several. At least 40 songs or more.

Save it all in a folder. It helps to be organized.

I chose to create a new folder named Larnii.

Think of it this way, each song is like an arm. The more songs you have, the more reach you will get, thus increasing your total stream count.

Step 2: Leonardo.ai AI Image Generator

Go to https://leonardo.ai and create an account or Launch App if you already have an account.

Once you create the account it will launch another page.

On the Free plan, you receive 150 ‘tokens’ to use each day. This should be enough tokens for you to create album covers.

Go to the top right and ‘Create New Image’

This is where you will enter your prompt. The more specific your prompt, the better the images Leonardo.ai will generate.

The left side allows you to change the settings of the image. The more images you wish to create, the more credits it uses.

I recommend starting with 1 image to make sure. Select 1024×1024 Image Dimension for the largest resolution.

Once you’re done with the settings, select Generate.

For this guide, we are going to create 2 images that use 7 tokens.

Note that the more images you select to create, the less credits it consumes.

For example if you want to generate 4 images, that uses 14 tokens.

Let’s say you created study music or lofi from Larnii.

You can enter in the prompt “create music album relating to lofi study music that is calm and soothing”.

Let’s say you create study music or lofi. You can enter in the prompt “create music album relating to lofi study music that is calm and soothing”.

Click on each image to view it in higher resolution.

This is the first image generated. I love this.

It has the sense of peaceful, calming and soothing. Let’s save and download the image.

This one also turned out well. I get warm, peaceful vibes from this image. I like it. Let’s download this image.

Leonardo.ai is fantastic at creating unique images. The prompt and what you type in is important.

The more specific you are, the better the images will be generated.

If you like the images generated, go down to the bottom and click Download Image.

If you do not like the images, try generating more images or by changing the prompt and generating new images from the modified prompt. Repeat until you reach your desired number of album covers. I recommend generating more images than you will need.

You can always choose to upgrade Leonardo.ai to a Premium plan.

The benefits of a Premium plan are more credit tokens, private generations, model training, model retention, priority infrastructure and more.

Step 3: ChatGPTGenerate Song Names and Album Names

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence that is free or paid. For our guide, it is free to use.

Let’s create some song names and album titles.

First go to https://chatgpt.com

No need to Sign up or Log in unless you want to save your chat history, share chats and personalize your experience.

Look for the prompt box near the bottom that says ‘Message ChatGPT’

First we’re going to create song names. We’re going to continue with the music genre Study Music/Lofi

The prompt I entered “create a list of 10 song names relating to study music and lofi”, hit Enter or Return on your keyboard

ChatGPT: Sure, here’s a list of 10 song names that evoke the vibe of study music and lofi:

  1. “Calm Cadence”
  2. “Midnight Melodies”
  3. “Serenity Study”
  4. “Echoes of Focus”
  5. “Lofi Lullaby”
  6. “Mellow Mindset”
  7. “Chill Study Session”
  8. “Tranquil Tunes”
  9. “Zen Zone Beats”
  10. “Ambient Academic”

Excellent. I’m liking the list so far. You can also change the prompt to give you a list of 20, 30 or more song names.

Again here I recommend more names than you originally anticipate.

No need to repeat the step for album title. You may use these names as your album title.

Ok Great! Now we have our songs, song names and album titles created.

This should have taken an hour, no more than two hours to create songs on Larnii, generate images on Leonardo.ai and create song names and album titles.

Step 4: Distrokid – Upload Music, Monitor Daily Stats and Get Paid Royalties

Get 7% off Distrokid using my link here. Sign up with Distrokid either by email, Google, Apple or Facebook. I chose email. I used the same email that was created and used for Larnii.

Why did I choose Distrokid over other sites? You keep 100% of your earnings (minus Tipali fees). I like their platform and easy to upload platform which is just one page. More on that soon. Next you will pick your plan.

You have three plan options: First is Musician @ $22.99 billed annually or $1.92 per month. This is for 1 artist only with unlimited songs for 1 artist.

Second plan is Musician Plus @ 39.99 billed annually or $3.33 per month. This is for 2 artists with unlimited songs for 2 artists.

Last plan is Ultimate @ 89.99 billed annually or $7.50 per month. This is for 5 to 100 artists.

I went with Ultimate plan and chose Number of Artists 20 from the drop down menu. The price will be reflected. You could get away with the Musician plan, 1 artists and upload a bunch of songs. This will help lower your up front costs.

Let’s upload some music. Go to the top and click on the down arrow next to ‘Upload’. It will have a drop down menu with two options. Select the top option ‘Upload music’

On this page, you will get to select with Services your album cover and songs will be uploaded to. The other services do not pay per stream however you can sell your music by the song or album. I selected

Here’s the Services I selected. Spotify pays per stream. Apple Music, Tidal, iTunes and Amazon allow listeners to purchase your song or album.

Next is selecting the Number of songs for your artist. You can select anywhere from 1 song (a single) up to 35 songs.

Has this single been previously released? Select No

Artist/band name – enter that here

For each services, select No – I don’t yet have any [artist/band name] relases that are already on Spotify/iTunes/Apple Music

Next select your Release date. Note that Setting your release date to at least 1-week in the future increases your chances of getting added to playlists. I selected 1 to 2 days out. In my experience, it takes Spotify less than 24 hours and iTunes less than five days.

Enter your Record label name. If you can not think of one, use ChatGPT to create a list for you.

Next enter the Language. I selected English here.

Next select the Primary genre. Depending on the genre, it may have a subgenre. You also have the option of selecting a Secondary genre. I leave this one blank.

Drag and drop the Album cover into the dotted blue square on the left side. The recommended image format is JPG.

Using unique AI generated images will decrease the chance of Stores and Services from rejecting your artwork. As long as it does not contain images you found online that you don’t have the explicit right to use.

Now Track 1 Song title. Pick a song name from the list generated on ChatGPT.

Next leave “Add featured artist to song title” and Add “version” info to song title at default. Change if you wish.

Now drag and drop the audio file into the Upload your audio file in the blue dotted rectangle.

Next since our genre is Study Music/Lofi, we will select the drop down to Music only, no lyrics.

Now enter the First name and Last name of your artist name. If you need help coming up with artist names, you may use ChatGPT.

There should be no explicit lyrics.

I left these at default. Dolby Atmos/Spatial audio set to No. Songwriter – I wrote this song, or manage the songwriter (it’s an original tune).

Is this a “radio edit”? No – This song is clean, and always has been

Instrumental? This song is instrumental and contains no lyrics

Preview clip start time – Let streaming service decide

Now set your Track Price. I selected $0.69 for low cost of entry and since the song is about a minute.

Now if you chose more than 1 song at the top of the page, it will ask you to select a price for the Album.

The selections range from $0.69 to $14.99 for Album Price. If the album has 2 songs, I prefer to select $1.29.

You may choose whatever Album Price you want.

I skip all the Optional Extras.

Almost done! Check all the boxes and click the blue ‘Continue’ button.

Sometimes Distrokid will have one more page trying to upsell you. Proceed without the upsell.

Finally you will land on a success page. Now you’re done! All in all it should have taken no more than 2 hours for all 4-steps.

You will receive emails from Distrokid once your album and songs are live on each Service platform you had initially selected.

You can also check the status by clicking on ‘My Music’ at the top middle

Green dots to the left mean they have been successfully uploaded and live.

To know which Services you will look at the right column.

You will see icons for each of the Services you had initially selected to upload to.

Yellow dot means pending.

So a few months have passed, you have a few hundred streams per day and want to see how much you have been paid.

Go to ‘Bank’ at the top and this will take you to your Earnings.

You can break down the earnings by artist, song and by service.

Now remember it does take about 3 months for Spotify to report the number of streams.

If you started going live in January, you will get the earnings payout for the month of January around April or May.

Pay outs are typically towards the end of the month.

Note: There is a delay of about 3 months for Spotify stream reporting.

Now you’ve patiently waited and want to check on your stats. Click on ‘Stats’ at the top middle.

The number of streams does fluctuate. The increase in streams in May was due to me uploading more songs to the existing artists.

My results are transparent with no over promising of results or inflated ‘potential’ income these affiliate influencers are touting.

Sure you could earn more if you use streaming bots but you risk having your account closed and no pay out. So proceed at your own risk as I do not condone this type of activity.

Also note I did zero marketing and advertising. These results are all organic.

My plan moving forward, continue to add songs. If the daily streams trend upwards then I will continue to invest my time in this hustle.

Conclusion:

Using artificial intelligence may seem daunting however has a low learning curve.

With an initial investment of about 2 hours or less and patience of 5 months that generates about $60+ per month

✅ This hustle has been approved by DrHealthHustle ✅

I expect the monthly income to slowly increase over time.

I also plan to add around 40 more songs in 2024.

Expect an annual review of this hustle in 7-8 months.

Thanks for reading.
